During our various meetings across the country we've been holding demonstrations and teaching members interesting skills and techniques. Recently I've been thinking of ways of sharing that information across the entire membership. After all a demonstration on weathering held in Dublin is of obvious benefit to members in Limerick, Cork and other parts of the country where there are no organized meetings. Likewise demonstrations held in Limerick and Cork are as equally beneficial to everyone else. I've been giving some thought as to how to pool these demonstrations together and I've come up with an idea. If it were possible for a member of each branch to bring along a video recorder, or and SLR with a recording function, then we could upload the videos onto an IPMS Ireland Youtube account and link them to the forum. Over time we'll build up a valuable video gallery of demonstrations. Of course we wouldn't be recording entire meetings, just the demonstration segments. Opinions? Comments? |

Sean I second that - great idea! Next opportunity might be Jason's promised demo on weathering at the January Dublin meeting. Philip |
