It seems as if the Airfix site is down, I got in but then ran into a load of "run errors" and thingys like that.
I'm not surprised with the announcments today.

According to the latest Airfix email the WWII Bomber Re-Supply Set 1/72 and Fw190As are being released .The former is likely to be of massive interest to diorama builders with an Aladin's cave of gear !

http://www.airfix.com/shop/diorama-and-buildings/a05330-bomber-re-supply-set-172/

For a lad raised on RAF Emergency,Recovery and Refuelling sets it really is almost a full 360 back to my youth .Second Golden Age of Airfix without a doubt!

Even some of the box art of the rereleases is astounding (Im blessing myself as I say this but ...) possibly even BETTER than the Roy Cross originals !!!

Look at THIS!

Looks like the airbrushed out explosions of the politically correct (!?) 80s are a distant memory!

On a quick trip to Manchester this morning with a couple of IPMS/Ireland members and we
made a side trip to the big wholesale warehouse to top up my Evergreen and Plastuct stocks.

That's the Airfix aisle on the left and they were in the middle of unloading the weekly Airfix delivery and we found these.

There was also apparently a new Typhoon but no sign of the Bomber maintenance pack ??? yet.
Italerai's new Sunderland but no sign of the Stirling ??? yet apparently and a new Revell 1/32 nd Me 109 G-6 got them all excited.
Apart from the Evergreen I picked up.

and finally as I intend to buy the Maxdecals new set for the Army decals when I get to D2 (anybody want to swap their 1/35th bits?) and there may be another Quickie Christmas group build,
I gave in and got.

This is the sundries like paint, glue, filler, airbrushes and fixtures and fittings and brushes aisle. My favourite bit are those grey boxes at the end, they have the rod, strip, tube and other shapes in them.
I spend a fortune in that aisle and the tool section two aisles across!!.
