Lockheed A-12 Blackbird; on the deck of USS Intrepid, October 2012, NY

Spurred on by Barry's great build of the SR-71, I dug into my large "stash" of walkaround photos, and have come up with some photos of the Lockheed A-12
Blackbird, which was the SR-71's predecessor.

These were taken in mid October 2012, on the deck of the USS Intrepid, docked at Pier 86 in New York City. (The ship got a hammering as a result of the
super hurricane, Sandy, towards the end of the year, so I don't know what state this particular aircraft is in now....she was positioned at the very end of the
carrier deck, closest to the city).

Great pics Philip thanks for sharing...I'm even more sick now about missing out...I'm sure it took up a lot of room on the carrier deck
