Just wondering if anyone is still working on an entry at this point? I am- probably finish it later today.

Also, just out of curiosity, how many entries are you guys bringing?

Not working on any - all done, just havn't decided what's going in competition and what on the club table.

I presume there will be entry forms available there tomorrow? Printed one then left it in work!

Wondering if I can get a quick clarification on something- I have a small vignette in 1/35 scale- it is a wedgie base consisting of a small portion of canal-side and the rear 1/2 of an upended Kubelwagen- there are two full figures and one half figure on the base- would this be classed as a diorama or a figure entry?

HI folks,

I've cashed in the Brownie points and I will be up in the Big Smoke tomorrow morning...

I'm wondering if there is a meal/social planned for Saturday evening?

Thanks,

Eoin

It's been a disastrous week for me modelwise Karl. I had set the week aside to finish the half dozen 95 percenters on the bench, then I got some work that I can't afford to turn down, meetings about getting Small plastic Wars back on the road, a couple of auditions and a friends funeral so it'll just be one from me at this years show, a scratchbuilt space ork bust.

Next year I'll flood the tables though

Eoin I'm not aware of any social plans for Saturday

Quick answer to some questions - ...still packing at the mo.

Registration for the competition is from 10 am till 1 - better to arrive and register early, as gets hectic after about 12.15. Yes, Sean, there will be extra copies of the competition entry form at the registration desk - Pat and Simon Nolan will be doing first shift there. Judging will start after 1pm, and the awards ceremony is at noon on the Sunday.

Ken and I dropped down to the hotel this evening at 5pm to make sure all was in readiness in the function rooms, and left about 6.30. Nobody in sight at that stage in the bar, so sorry we missed you if anyone was around. One modeller was there, from IPMS Norway, with SIX models that he has brought all the way for entry in the competition....our fame is clearly spreading!

Traders will be there tomorrow morning from 8 am, when the venue will be opened up for putting models on the club tables, etc. However, registration for the competition will not start till 10 am, so no point in bringing the competition entries in till then....

Also, Ken will be taking surplus stash kits for the kitswop. If you want to sell, you MUST have white stickers with the price clearly marked (in euros or euros and 50c only) on the items for sale BEFORE you hand them in - we cannot provide you with stickers....Also, as previously mentioned, if you want to sell in the kitswop, you have to agree to do an hour or so over the weekend on the kitswop till. On the other hand, anything you get for your stash is yours to keep - we don't take a cut (as they do in Telford). Sales in the kitswop are from paid up members of IPMS Ireland ONLY - it's a perk of membership (and Ken has been armed with a membership list, if you have forgotten your membership card!), but ANYONE can buy. Ken will sort out the rota for this on the day.

Looking forward to seeing y'all

Philip

Oh yes, Karl

Checked the situ re car spaces today at the hotel. There are two pay spaces directly outside the hotel, but hopefully you have the blue card and can park there free. There is a single disabled space just about 50 metres south, but when Ken and I were there this evening some s**t in a white van was parked on it. There is ramped access to the hotel, via a special door with a buzzer (which leads through the bar/café).

National College car park blocked with barrier saying FULL at 1025am . IFSC is only 6 euroall day. Take left at Jeanie Johnston tall sailing ship and its just on left ( assuming your coming along Quays from OConnell St bridge )
