Sitting down with a nice cuppa and reflecting on the last two days and have so say that I totally enjoyed the weekend.
Some top class entries on the competition tables, some fantastic work to be seen on the branch tables(those paper
model ships, wow!!), a great friendly atmosphere and great to chat models with like minded folks from all over.
Looking forward to next years event already.

Fecking knackered, but home - don't ask me how I got here though. I am after dinner, drinking my tea and ready for shower and snoozy-poozy...
Good show, nice turnout, good standard of models and I was even able to put some faces behind some of the nicks here on the forum.
The only drawback, from my perspective of eager traveller, was lack of bodies on Saturday night at the bar to get know each other more, bounce some ideas and have a bit of business related chat after a few pints, so the AGM discussions would take considerably less time. Nice to talk rubbish and watch darts with Lindsay, Eoin and Kiaran all the same.
Something to think about for the next year.

Nice, positive show this year - bigger and better the next.

Absolutely!
Well done to all who helped organise and volunteer, Paul who sponsored and all who entered.
KitSwap had some unreal bargains on it.
Standouts for me were those paper ships, the scratchbuilt Russian bombers and the 'super-soaker' spaceship.
Roll on 2014.

My first show as a member of the club and it was a hell of an weekend. Shame the time flies by so fast. Learnt a hell of a lot bout modelling and a lot about giant scary looking Russian bombers! And just like the soldier show earlier this year the big Panzer 38 caught my eye and I want one really badly. Lets hope Walshie pulls through for me haha!
Great to see you guys. Great to see everyones models and all the different areas of modelling we seem to work in. Can't wait for the next show!

;) Took me exactly 2h14min from the moment i started the engine, to the doorstep at home. I do have quite heavy foot :) As FiSe said nice to put some faces to the nicks, but i missed few of You as well, so I'll have to come along another time. As to the figures no stress Barry, I'll work something out, but thanks for checking.

hey all,
popped in on sunday with my young 'uns... was amazed at the detail in the models on display, well done to all the winners and all involved.
my kids came home happy campers with a model each... which will be a delight to get stuck in with them over the cold evenings...

I will be working on the prize list and will have it finished in the next couple of days. Thanks to Ken, I have an Excel spreadsheet where I can input the competition entry numbers and it spits out who the modeller was and the type of the model, so all I need to do is to input the judges marks etc.

Philip

PS - I have your Viper, as arranged, securely in my model box along with some 109's and mustangs (strange bedfellows!). I will bring it up on the 26th to the next Dublin Chapter meeting, if you can make it then, or else leave until the following month.

Great Show and lovely meeting with like minded people. Those card ships really blew me away and as for those Russian kits. . Lovely work on the Finish 'battle ship' Michael. Great talking to you over the two days, amazing that we have very similar modelling times, basically when our wife's go to bed and let us get along with things!
Congrats to all those who entered models into the completion whether you won or didn't. It was very obvious that a lot of hard work had gone into all the kit. I was judging for a first time along with a more experienced modeller, thanks Eoin from Cork and it is an eye opener. it give you a great perspective on the failings of your own models. It would be nice if other more inexperienced modellers (like my self) could tag along with the judges (not on their own kits) and see exactly what the judges are looking at. Possibly an idea for next year if people were interested.

Nice selection of the models at D2, Filip.

Love the one of our sponsor, Paul (Kolbe) Hurley, in action with one of his many cameras - complete with the hat! Eoin (Dyno) is busy passing behind him, having bought some liquid glue from one of the traders, while off to the right, Ray Flynn is chatting to John Wallace......

Any other folks got shots of people and events over the last couple of days, rather than just models?

You could call this either "Judgement Day" or "Specsavers Ad" ... suppose Pat would act in both ... no idea what the elderly gentleman in the background is doing ...
