Hi All

I have to say the IMSS Club put on a great show and I would like to thank them. I spent a lot of time at the show over the weekend. The riding school was a really good place and I would like to see them have it there again.

There were a lot of great models in the competition and I think a number of medals went to our IPMS Ireland members. I entered 6 models and I come out with, commended, highly commended, two bronze and one silver medal. So I was very happy, I was so surprised I forgot which medal was for which model. I will be back there again next year and this time I plan to get a gold.

Now we all have to get ready for D2.

Thank you all for a great weekend. I have photos, but I want to keep them for the newsletter.

Ken.

Gerry, I was only too happy to be able to assist but as Philip has said the work was all yours and well done.
Pat, Ken, Alan, Lindsey and Filip: well done to you guys also. A nice haul for IPMS Ireland.

Karl, great meeting you in the flesh at last! Hopefulle we'll see you at D2 too.

Pat, how come there were no sticky buns on Saturday?

And as others have said the venue was excellent! Great room, easy access and free parking! Great show all round and kudos to IMSS for it.

The 1/72 sticky buns were nice. I think they would look better in 1/48 ;-)

I thought the icing was particularly good and in scale B-)

Like others have said - great venue, top show and standard was incredible. Well done to all the winners and those organising the club stand which got lots of interest.

Regards,
Dermot

Pat - I liked the (sugary) gloss finish on the smaller ones best - and they were well weathered, as one might expect......(but not, like your excellent Sherman, burnt.. ;) )

Dermot - many thanks for coming along on Sunday, AND bringing your kits to show on the table as well. There were quite a number of little kids who looked and said - "Daddy (and it was always daddies!) - look at the yellow helicopter". Camo just doesn't do it for you when you are under 10!
