I have many pictures from today which I will upload during the week but just wanted to share a few of my favourites one with you.

This one I particularly liked.

Don't mind that Viper.... The fizzy pick-up is sweeet, wouldn't mind to have it as 1:1 scale fully functional metal model

Some good ones there, Graham. That Mustang racer is cool.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of yours. I will post up my own later.

In the meantime, here is a link I found to a lot of photos by Phil Peterson, a member of Britmodeller- including quite a few of our own stand and the exhibits on it (photos nos. 154 - 161)

Although i was in the competition room for over 4 hours on Saturday,

I only got to see a fraction of the entries.

However this was across from the table I was judging and I rather liked it.

So I thought I would share it.

If we had had an an IPMS Ireland Trophy it would be a surely be a worthy contender.

Is that a 'what-if' or was that real? Just wondering if Guinness would be buying an ex-army junk - and the harp looks like the modernised version to me...
Nice model all the same and unusual take on otherwise boring green truck.

Filip,
It was in the 1/24th Civilian vehicles class next door to me.

As to the ex army junk, the card said Bedford OXD, England 1944-45

I believe that Vauxhall /Bedford were only making Military green vehicles to WO specs in this period.

If a commercial concern like Guinness with plants in London and Liverpool had a legitimate need for a vehicle they could obtain a license

from the Ministry and buy some from the builders. Probably a case of any colour you like as long as it's OD.

As to the correct marking scheme for the period I take your word as I cannot stand the stuff.

I haven't shared an album before so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right. How does this look?

Looks good from where I'm sitting Graham - thanks for sharing!

One of the pics has gone landscape but have that problem sometimes with photobucket.

That is indeed your Viper Barry. I'm on a real BSG buzz right now as I'm building the Mark VII. I even picked up two more Mark VII's at Wonderland Models as they were half price. I didn't photograph yours as I got a picture of it at D2.

Don't know why I didn't take a pic of the whole IPMS Ireland stand or one of IMPS Ireland members behind the stand. Didn't find the right time when many were behind the stand to be honest.

If memory serves the Victor is the work of Terry (Gray?), one of the clubs UK based members, and a nice job it is too.
Victors should not be to hard to find as it is the old Matchbox kit which was re-released by Revell in the past.

I've been looking at various posts on the IPMS (UK) fb page, and that gave me a link to what may be the best overall photos of SMW, from what appears to be a French group, of 821 photos, as it combines photos of the traders and the general halls as well as many shots of the competition models (that are also on other photo shoots).

http://expos.amaymodelesclub.org/#!album-50

Our own stand gets a look-in at photos nos. 543 - 547.

Worth a look, IMHO.
