So.......

Who is going to this? I have booked a table, as usual (as I have done for the past 4 years). Anyone else coming? It's in the Carlton Airport Hotel, this time, rather than the usual ALSAA premises. The hotel is on the old airport road, just after the underpass of the M50 and before you get to the side road that runs along the runway of Dublin Airport.

Times are 10 am till about 4 pm.

If you plan to bring anything to display, please let me know....Or you could bring a modest amount of surplus stash to sell..... Given the title of the Fair, though, they had probably better be aircraft related...

Unfortunately I have previous commitments. I forgot all about this to be honest.

No worries - I was there, as were Don Whittaker and Ray Flynn. Mark dropped in to say hello during the day. Display consisted of my own work, but this was favourably commented on by a number of folks during the day (both Bf 109's and Allied subjects, I hasten to add). Unlike Salute!, no hands reached for the display........

Some leaflets about IPMS Ireland handed out, and three membership application forms, so not a totally wasted journey....On the other hand, public throughput was a little sparse compared to previous years. Whether this was the new venue, or the fact that there was, apparently, a rugby match on for much of the afternoon, will remain a matter of conjecture......

Other stands at the event included Diarmuid Byrne, of Irish Transport Books and Kits, and our own Paul Kolbe photography (the latter selling some aviation-related 2014 calendars, and a (few) kits from his stash (one of which I purchased)....

I will post up a couple of photos of the event in due course....
